We believe that a child care center is only as good as its teachers. Many of our original staff are still with us today, because we pay them well, offer generous paid time off, invest in their education, and provide a caring and positive workplace. This is really what sets us apart from other child care centers.
Most of our staff are native Spanish speakers, coming from a variety of Spanish-speaking countries including Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, and Colombia. Language of Love is often described as a "large family." This is one of our points of pride, and is due to the devotion and love that our teachers and staff show the children.
Anna learned how to speak Spanish while living in Chile in 1996 after college. She continued to develop her fluency while working in the construction industry, which is how she met her husband, Rey. Rey is from Honduras and together they have five children.
Throughout the years, Anna has maintained her initial vision of keeping Language of Love a small, family-oriented environment. Anna develops a relationship with each family.
Anna devotes her spare time to studying medicine. Rey devotes his spare time to mission work with Jesus is Faithful Foundation, here in the Twin Cities, Guatemala, Honduras, and Uganda.
In 2019, Rey and Anna's youngest child, Isaac, died. He drowned while the family was visiting Honduras.
Rey and Anna came through this season very strong with their faith in God as their foundation. Anna loves to teach grief classes and share hope for others who have experienced loss.
